Christmas Celebrations. Dollywood is a 130-acre theme park in Pigeon Forge. It’s known for thrilling coasters, outstanding shows and parades, good eats and family friendly fun. It transforms into a winter wonderland each year for the Smoky Mountain Christmas celebration. More than 5 million lights span across the park and a 50-foot Christmas.
Tickets are the same price all year: $84 plus tax for a one-day pass for adults, at the time of this writing. Remember, you can also do a two-day pass for $99. It’s best to purchase your ticket ahead of time for expedited entry to the park, skipping the line of folks purchasing tickets when they arrive.
Dollywood is fully decorated for Christmas for the months of November, December, and early January. The dates of this excellent festival run from Nov. 10th to Jan 5th. This fantastic holiday is made possible with sponsorship from Humana. For the Christmas season, Dollywood is open every day except Mondays and Tuesdays.
Smoky Mountain Christmas packages can be reserved when you make your reservation at either cabins or the resort. Resort Stay & Play and cabin’s Christmas Memories packages include Dollywood TimeSaver passes with each ticket. Passes, which shorten waiting times, can be used on eight select rides and unlimited daily shows.
Otherwise, Dollywood will be open 10 am-9 pm. The park naturally transitions into LumiNights each night at sunset around 7:30 pm. This winter, the park will continue to observe a limited schedule as it gears up for Smoky Mountain Christmas. 4. Re: Dollywood Christmas Lights. I am a tour operator out of Indiana and we had a bus tour to Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg the last week of October. I don’t remember there being much road construction, but the amount of traffic for the color was amazing! It was a very busy time, but we thoroughly enjoyed it.
