FortiClient Issues with Mac OS Sierra – Fortinet GURU

A client of mine stumbled upon this issue and after some digging it seems to be fairly common. In my experience, FortiClient tends to have more issues with Mac OS in general. For this particular issue though I had success by undoing the FortiClient. Downloading the latest version of FortiClient tends to be where most people encounter trouble. I’m not sure what about the old versions working against the new one but it’s an obvious bug.
If you were sitting around waiting for it to be resolved, I wouldn’t get your hopes up. Fortinet tends to be a little slower at solving MAC-related issues with FortiClient when compared to Windows etc… I think we can hit the market share.
Anyway, roll back your client to a previous version and see if that solves the problem for you. I’ll give you a specific version to run but it seems to vary from environment to environment.
Something to remember: The Sierra is brand new, so obviously the issues may not be on FortiClient’s side (at least not quite).
