- 32-bit applications will not work on macOS Catalina. You’ll need to stay on a lower version until you can find an alternative software. More information on how to find your 32-bit applications is available in the Knowledge Base.
- Apple has expanded the PPPC and TTC protocols to include user documents, desktops, and downloads. This means that programs like CrashPlan and Sophos cannot access these directories by default with full disk access manually granted. This issue will be resolved automatically on devices registered in the IS&T Jamf instance. Manual steps for giving an application full disk access are available in the knowledge base.
- Third-party kernel extensions (such as Sophos, Crowdstrike, VMware) will require a restart before they can take effect.
- Apple has discontinued language runtimes including python, ruby ββand perl. It will not be included in future versions of macOS.
