Payment Terms

Mozilla (we) has partnered with Proton VPN to bring you a Virtual Private Network (VPN) to make your online browsing more secure. You can buy a VPN service through Mozilla; Proton VPN provides the same service.

These payment terms cover your payment. Proton VPN service terms and conditions cover the VPN service itself. If there is any conflict between these terms and the terms of Proton VPN, these terms will prevail.

Permission to subscribe and pay

We offer the VPN service as a monthly subscription that automatically renews. When you sign up, you authorize us to charge the payment card you provide for the subscription fee for the first month of the VPN service. Your plan automatically renews every month, and you authorize us to charge you a monthly subscription fee every month.

If you stop paying, we will suspend your account, and may delete it after 2 months of non-payment.

We reserve the right to stop the service immediately if we discover a fraudulent payment, such as using a stolen payment card.

30 day money back guarantee

The first time you sign up for this VPN service, you can cancel your account within the first 30 days, and Mozilla will refund your first monthly subscription.

This offer is only valid the first time you subscribe to the service. If you decide to subscribe to the service after canceling, you will not be eligible for the 30-day money-back guarantee.

cancellation

You can unsubscribe from this VPN service at any time by clicking on the β€œunsubscribe” link in any email we send you. If you choose to cancel, your access to the Service will cease immediately, and Mozilla will refund you any unused portion of the Service during your current billing cycle. This means that Mozilla will proportionally distribute your refund based on the remaining full days of your subscription period.

We may, if we choose, offer you a pro-rata refund of the subscription fees paid during the period in which the Service was not available or usable, if you request it.

Mozilla may issue any refund of the subscription fee to the original payment method in the original currency you paid and will process any refunds within 30 days of the order.

End

Mozilla may suspend or terminate your access to the VPN Service at any time and for any reason, including the decision to stop offering this VPN Service altogether. We will attempt to notify you with the email address associated with your account before we suspend or terminate your access. If Mozilla suspends or terminates your VPN access, we will also terminate your subscription and will not charge you a subscription fee for subsequent months.

Privacy Notice

When Mozilla receives information from you, our Mozilla Privacy Policy describes how we treat that information. Your payments are processed by Recurly and Stripe.

Mozilla receives a history of your subscription and information about your subscription and payment status, but Mozilla does not receive your payment details. Mozilla also receives the email address you use to sign up for the VPN service as part of this record and to communicate with you about the VPN service.
