You will find a solution: VPN Host Address – Cisco Community
👨💻
I’m finding it hard to find answers to some questions.
What I’ve been able to do so far…
By creating a new profile XML file with the following, it will add new connections to the existing VPN at the location “C:ProgramDataCiscoCisco AnyConnect Secure Mobility ClientProfile”
This will assign a default host address and hostname to all users.
<؟ xml version = "1.0" encoding = "UTF-8"؟>
<دخول المضيف>
You can create multiple hosts using this method, each new host in the site should be saved with a different file name.
To change the default group (AD/Customers/Employees/Vendors) and Username, you will need to edit the preferences file located at: “C:Usersuser.nameAppDataLocalCiscoCisco AnyConnect Secure Mobility Client”.
It’s all good, easy to understand.
I can’t access ASA or ASDM or any software from cisco. So I am confused as to how ASDM generates user profiles? How does the hostname and address pay to the client and what is the difference between ASA and ASDM? It’s a bit vague while trying to research this.
Can AnyConnect Secure Mobility Client installations also be customized to use a specified host address automatically? Is this done using a transform file?
Any help clarifying these questions would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks
Isaac.
