They did close the larger rides like the roller coasters since there was a risk of lightning. You can take in one of the shows, browse one of the shops or grab something to eat IF it rains. A great place to catch steam locomotives in action is at Theme Parks and Amusement Parks across the USA. While some Railfans refer to park trains as “Circus Trains” due to the bright paint, and sometimes over the top decorative elements, I always enjoy a ride behind steam, and theme parks usually operate steam on a daily basis, which is something many historical railroads can not do.
Quality rides these 3 and Ka did its thing but Dragster is just a better experience for me in every way. Ka is still good though. Fantastic views from Ka. Rough day at the park but some really quality rides helped. Will def come back during a weekday next year when its cooler out too. And wow, Bizarro? What a great ride. Best floorless for me.

Rides Block Seats for Social Distancing & Require Sanitizing Hands. In order to maintain social distancing on the rides, Dollywood has blocked half the rows on each ride. The one ride I could go on was the water ride to the right of the entrance of the park. I could slightly close the belt on it but they had an extender so I didn’t have to squeeze as much. So that was nice and it’s the only ride I remember going on the other time I went to Dollywood when I was 6 so I enjoyed that one ride I got to do.
The coaster enjoyed a long period of operation until July 2018 when it closed again. It remained closed for three months until October of that year. While Dollywood stated that it wasn’t due to the launch, which had caused so many problems in the past, they didn’t give a reason why the park’s star attraction was closed..
