I’m trying to install a VPN but can’t proceed with the installation because everything is disabled or only AMP is available.
This happens when there was a previous VPN installation on your device.
First check if it is still installed:
- From the Finder go to the Application folder.
- Find the “Cisco” folder and open the folder
- Then double-click “Uninstall Anyconnect” to start the uninstall process
- Follow the instructions to uninstall the VPN software
- Reboot

If nothing, there is a procedure to manually uninstall the AnyConnect client:
Run the following shell script from Terminal:
sudo /opt/cisco/vpn/bin/vpn_uninstall.sh $
You will be asked for your password. Once you have entered it, just follow the steps and reboot.
