Error 1001 during installation

This error often appears when installing the out-of-date application on Windows 7.

Please first update your Windows system through Windows Update, then try to install the application again. Also, make sure you update the .NET Runtime to version 4.8.

You can also try disabling your antivirus/firewall/security software, then reinstall the NordVPN app again.

crash / freeze

  1. Click on Windows + R. Key combination to open the Run window.

Kill Switch app not working

Make sure to add the direct executable (.exe) file in your NordVPN application. go to Settings, Determine kill switch In the left sidebar menu, click Add apps. For example, you can add Skype to the Kill Switch list by adding this file:

No internet connection once connected to VPN server

First, try to change the server you are connected to. If this does not help, try changing the connection protocol: a) switch to OpenVPN (TCP); b) Switch to Nordlynx.

The problem could also be due to your antivirus, firewall, or other security software. Try disabling it (or better yet, uninstalling it) and check if the problem is still there.

In addition, please try to make network flow:

  1. Open the NordVPN app.
  2. There, head to advanced Section.
  3. click Run the diagnostic tool.
  4. In the opened window, select network flow.
  5. Restart your computer and try connecting to the servers again.

Certain feature of the app is not working properly

  1. again open a file Settings menu.
  2. Go to advanced Section.
  3. click Run the diagnostic tool.
  4. In the opened window, select Reset app.
  5. Restart the application.
