Fix Norton Secure VPN window stays on “Connected”
👨💻
This issue occurs if Norton Secure VPN fails to establish a connection to the VPN server. It can be caused by some temporary problems with your network connection. Ensure that your device is connected to a stable internet connection.
To fix this problem on your Mac, update macOS to 10.14.x or later. For detailed steps on updating your macOS to the latest version, see the Apple Support article. If the problem persists, check for network problems, then restart Norton Secure VPN.
Check for network problems
If you were able to connect to Norton Secure VPN before on the same network, wait a while and try to connect to Norton Secure VPN again.
Some networks do not allow VPN connections and limit VPN access using network or firewall settings. If this error appears when connecting to Secure VPN for the first time, it could be due to your network or firewall settings.
If you see this error message frequently, connect to a different network or connect to the mobile data connection on your device.
If the problem persists, restart Norton Secure VPN.
