Enable VPN Passing on C3000 / C3700
Abstract:
There is a known issue with C3000/C3700 cable modem routers where VPN pass-through is not currently enabled. This issue will be fixed in the next maintenance release for these products. We do not currently have an ETA on this.
However, we do have a temporary hotfix that the client can try to enable VPN traffic. This fix will only work when connected to a Windows PC.

Download Instructions:
- Using the download link below, download the new firmware and extract it to a suitable place like your desktop. The file name after extraction is c3700_vpn-pass_hotfix_cmd-011B1.exe

- Double click on the program βc3700_vpn-pass_hotfix_cmd-011B1.exeβ if you keep the default βpasswordβ you should get the following result. Then the unit is restarted automatically.
- In case the password is changed to something else. It prompts with the following message asking for the correct password.
- After that, you should get a result similar to step 1.
- Troubleshooting: Please capture DOS windows if you get ret = N (where N is not 0), eg
