  5. select file Enable VPN Service check box and click Application.
  6. tap on for windows Button to download OpenVPN configuration files.
  7. Visit https://openvpn.net/index.php/download/community-downloads.html to download the OpenVPN client tool.

The window displays the progress of the installation and then displays the final installation page.
  15. tap on finish button.
  16. Unzip the configuration files you downloaded and copy them to the folder where the VPN client is installed on your device.
For a 64-bit Windows client machine, the VPN client is installed at C:ProgramfilesOpenVPNconfig by default.
  17. For a Windows client device, modify the VPN interface name to NETGEAR-VPN:
    1. On your computer, go to the Networks page.
If you are using Windows 10, select Control Panel > Network and Sharing Center > Change adapter settings.
    2. In the local connection list, find the local area connection with the name of the device TAP-Windows Converter.
    3. Select the local area connection and change its name (not its device name) to NETGEAR-VPN.

If you do not change the name of the VPN interface, the VPN tunnel connection fails.
