A virtual private network is the fastest and most reliable way to change your IP address without any security concerns. Now, there are several different ways you can take to change your IP without a VPN. Here they are, in no particular order.
1. Use a proxy server to change your IP address
Much like a VPN, a proxy hides your real IP address and assigns you a new one based on the particular server you are connected to. They differ from VPNs in that proxies do not encrypt your data, leaving you vulnerable to data collection, hackers, and other online risks.
Furthermore, proxies usually do not control DNS traffic. This means that your DNS requests are still broadcasting your real IP address to your DNS provider. A good VPN provider usually uses their own DNS servers and incorporates leak protection to prevent this from happening.

2. Try Tor Browser
Using the Tor browser gives you access to a worldwide network of “nodes” (or “relays”) managed by volunteers. Think of it as using a series of interconnected proxies to connect to the Internet. Now, any online service that you access can only see the IP address of the last node in the chain, keeping your address hidden.
Unfortunately, you cannot control which relays Tor decides to use at any time. Moreover, the string of nodes changes every time you visit a website. 5. Ask your ISP to change it for you
