How to set up a VPN on iPhone 7 or 7 Plus – Post iOS 11

Assuming your iPhone 7 or iPhone 7 Plus is running the latest software, follow the instructions in this section.

Download the VPN app

To get started, visit the App Store and download the ExpressVPN app (or the app for your VPN service).

  1. After downloading the application; sign in. Next, allow the app with the permission to create a profile on your iPhone.
  2. Next, open the file Settings on your iPhone and tap general. Then press VPN. Here, you will see your VPN.
  3. Finally, toggle the switch next to Connection To enable your VPN.

How to set up iPhone 7 or iPhone 7 Plus iOS 11 or lower

If you want to set up the VPN manually, follow these steps:

  1. Open Safari and visit the ExpressVPN website. Complete any verification steps to sign in.
  2. under the account Options, select iPhone and iPad. This will take you to a page with the configuration link. Click the hyperlink.
  3. Faucet Allow in the popup window.
  4. Next, you will see a verification popup letting you know that your ExpressVPN profile is now available on your iPhone.

Configure VPN in iPhone Settings

If you set up a VPN with multiple configurations, you can easily switch configurations on your iPhone, iPad, or iPod Touch by going to Settings > General > VPN and changing between VPN configurations.
