[SOLVED] Vodafone + VPN = Failed – connect to networks
I have a vodafone dongle k3570-Z which I was trying to connect to our working vpn using pptp. I have tried all types to no avail and Vodafone has been more helpful than ever.
I have tried different other ways to connect to vpn:
- 3g dongle
- different operating systems
These are all working fine. I’ve heard that they block vpn via airlines there so they asked them to unblock this and it looks like they did.
Any idea…before I throw this little piece of plastic on the floor and put the word “Hell’s Wrath” on it.

They have several Vf dongles and connect to our VPN both in UK and OZ just fine with pptp so it works.
I had some issues with Win7 and McAfee on the K3805z where I have to install a dongle with McAffee disabled first, but the symptom here is that I won’t get an IP address from the dhcp server, instead of just the vpn not working.
